US DoD to deploy IPv6

In a memorandum and press statement on June 9th, the US Dept. of Defence announced that from October 1st, 2003, all new developments and procurements will be IPv6 capable. The DoD goal is to complete the transition to IPv6 for all intra and inter networking across the DoD by financial year 2008. The text of the memo is available here.
