Waterford-based researchers brief Minister on wireless mobility

Researchers from the Telecommunications Software and Systems Group (TSSG) at Waterford Institute of Technology recently travelled to Brussels to brief Mr John Browne TD, Minister of State at the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, on current developments in wireless technology.
Mr Browne noted: “The deployment of IPv6, with its limitless supply of individual Internet addresses is a key enabling factor in the development of new services and technologies. Every effort should be made to ensure that the advantages of the information superhighway are available in a mobile environment.
